R³ Devotional - Day 83

R³ Devotional - Day 83 Joshua Chapter 5

By: Jose Maldonado

Joshua 5 reminds us that entering new seasons requires preparation, obedience, and a steadfast reliance on God's provision. By facing our fears, renewing our commitment, and remembering God's faithfulness, we can confidently step into the promises He has for us. Step up in this new season.
Facing Fear and Opposition:
The Canaanite kings were terrified when they heard the Lord had dried up the Jordan River. (Joshua 5:1)

Real Life Principle: Opposition is often a sign that you're on the verge of a breakthrough. Fear is a natural response, but it shouldn't paralyze you.

Relevant Life Application: When facing a daunting challenge or a significant change, remember that God has already paved the way. Acknowledge your fear, but don't let it dictate your actions. Lean on God for courage and strength. Be strong and courageous. God did not give us a spirit fear, but of power, love, and self control.

Ready Action step:
Pray and trust. Keep going forward.

The Lord commanded Joshua to circumcise the Israelite men, a symbolic act of covenant renewal. (Joshua 5:2-9)

Real Life Principle: Before entering new seasons, God often calls us to a place of renewal and obedience. This may involve confronting past issues, repenting of sin, or recommitting to His ways.

Relevant Life Application: Take time for spiritual reflection and examination. Are there areas of your life that need renewal? Are you being obedient to God's commands? Make a conscious effort to address these areas, allowing God to cleanse and prepare you. Examination Is hard at times, but it is need and worth it
So that you can go forward. If not you will get stuck

Ready Actions Steps:
Take 30 min to do self reflection, look for areas where your still feel resentment, hirt or anger. Pray for a cleansing.

After the circumcision, the Israelites celebrated Passover, remembering God's deliverance from Egypt. (Joshua 5:10-12)

Real Life Principle: Remembering God's past faithfulness builds our faith for the present and future. God's provision is constant, even in new and unfamiliar territories. God does not change.

Relevant Life Application: Cultivate a habit of remembering God's blessings. Keep a journal, share testimonies, petitions, answered prayer and reflect on how God has worked in your life. This will strengthen your trust in Him during challenging times, because they will come. Be ready, stay ready.

Ready Action Steps:
Journal this week. Start today. Do not make it hard. JUST DO IT!

The Manna ceased, and the Israelites ate the produce of the land. (Joshua 5:12)

Real Life Principle: God provides for each season of our lives. When He is moving us to a new season, we must be ready to accept the new provisions He has for us. Do not neglect it, or ignore it.

Relevant Life Application: Be ready to let go of old provision, when God is moving you forward. Do not cling to what was, but be open to what will be.

Ready Action Steps:
Let it God. Get out of your comfort zone. Get to stepping into walking by faith.
