R³ Devotional - Day 43
R³ Devotional - Day 43 from Exodus Chapters 39 and 40
By: Doug Wallace
In chapter 39 of Exodus, we see how Moses oversaw the preparations of the garments of the High Priest’s (Aaron and his sons) so that they should be properly adorned to enter the Holy of Holy’s in the Tabernacle.
Then in chapter 40, we see the erection and arrangement of the Tabernacle according to Gods instructions to Moses. God gave Moses specific instructions, which Moses ensured were followed precisely. Moses then inspected all the works of the people and found they were done as the Lord commanded and he blessed them.
As members of Gods living tabernacle, (1st Cor 6: 19-20) we should all do our part to prepare ourselves for Gods final inspection.
God sent us His only begotten son Jesus, who gave us specific instructions, which are contained in the Bible, on how to prepare ourselves for that final judgment so that we may be blessed with eternal life and be with him.
REAL:
The teachings of the Bible are real, and they are the truth. Living according to the Word of God is not always easy. It is a labor of discipline and commitment.
RELEVANT:
Sometimes in life, we are faced with trials, tribulations, and difficult decisions that affect us, our friends, our families, our jobs, or even our church. I have found in my short time as a Christian that going to the bible and pray often may make these problems more manageable or I may even find a solution.
READY:
We should study our bible because it is the instructions given to us to prepare ourselves for that final judgment.
We should attend church and worship together with each other because as Jesus said Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. (Matt. 18: 20)
We should also spread Gods word every chance we get so that others can know of his love and devotion to us. We have our instructions all we have to do is follow them.
