R³ Devotional - Day 81
R³ Devotional - Day 81 from Psalm 91
By: Irma Maldonado
“I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!””
Psalms 91:2 NASB1995

Reflecting on my past, present, and future sufferings. I am comforted by Gods word over and over again. He is my refuge! He is my fortress. In Him, I can trust. He was with me when I was abused. Although the enemy will lie to me and tell me He wasn’t. He was there. I am here today -sane being healed more and more each day.
“You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;”
Psalms 91:5 NASB1995

There are times I still have nightmares, but God has slowly healed those as well. He comforts me when I cry in my pillow at night. He comforts me and reassures me He is a good father. Even if my earthly father isn’t. He has given me the grace to forgive him (my father) and live him. Most importantly Our God has given me the courage and hope to pray for my father.
Arrows come daily.- my hope is in Him who is the light.
““Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.”
Psalms 91:14 NASB1995

My desire is to know him more and more. Just the fact that He loves me just as I am is more than enough. Because I know who I am.
“Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants’; I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.””
Deuteronomy 34:4 NASB1995

The verse above is so comforting. Moses knew he wasn’t going to go to the promise land but God allowed him to see it. Moses knew he messed up and would not be allowed to go in but God was merciful and allowed him to see it before he died.
