For seventeen years, Pastor Kyle Childress has faithfully served Anderson Baptist Church with a
heart fully devoted to God and His people. Called to shepherd this congregation, Pastor Kyle led
with humility, conviction, and an unshakable trust in the Lord’s work. Through his obedience
and vision, God brought growth. Not only in numbers, but in spiritual maturity, unity, and a
deepened love for the mission of Christ.

Pastor Kyle’s passion for missions has shaped the identity of Anderson Baptist Church in lasting
ways. His heart for the people of Honduras moved the church beyond its walls and into the
global mission field, teaching us to see the world through God’s eyes and respond with
compassion and action. In recent years, he also helped launch mission efforts in Washington,
reinforcing the truth that the call to serve reaches both far and near. Through his leadership,
missions became not simply a program, but a way of life for our church family.

Under Pastor Kyle’s leadership, Anderson Baptist Church experienced exponential growth, both
physically and spiritually. Yet his greatest investment was always in people. He intentionally
raised up leaders within the church, most notably through the creation of a preaching team; men
called, equipped, and encouraged to faithfully proclaim God’s Word. His commitment to
mentorship and shared leadership strengthened the church and ensured that the work of ministry
would continue well beyond his time in the pulpit.

Above all, Pastor Kyle has been a faithful shepherd. He preached the Word with truth and grace,
walked alongside families in seasons of joy and sorrow, and loved this church with sincerity and
prayerful devotion. Many lives have been shaped, restored, and strengthened through his
ministry; often in quiet moments known only to God.

As Pastor Kyle steps into retirement, Anderson Baptist Church does so with grateful hearts.
While his role is changing, his legacy remains woven into the very fabric of who we are. We are
honored to recognize him as Honorary Pastor and to celebrate a life poured out in faithful service
to God, His people, and His mission.

We thank God for Pastor Kyle Childress. For his obedience, his leadership, and his unwavering
love for the church. His influence will continue to echo through Anderson Baptist Church for
generations to come.
