R³ Devotional - Day 105 Psalm 7, 27, 31, 34, 52
PSALM 7
REAL: What truth or principles are found?
David is calling for God’s action against a foe. He’s requesting the Lord’s help and for Him to meet out judgment against his enemy.
RELEVANT: How can this be applied?
Pray. Talk to the Lord. Ask. Tell HIM what’s on your heart.
READY: What will your next action steps be?
Verse 17, “I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.”
PSALM 27
REAL: What truth or principles are found?
David is confident in his prayer to God. He’s praying YHWH will deliver him from all those who conspire to bring him down.
RELEVANT: How can this be applied?
Faith—waiting patiently, for that which is sure, though not yet seen.
READY: What will your next action steps be?
Verses 13 and 14: “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
PSALM 31
REAL: What truth or principles are found? A prayer for deliverance and a sturdy trust in the Lord and His faithfulness are revealed.
RELEVANT: How can this be applied? By waiting patiently for the Lord to act and by staying in contact with the Lord through prayer and praise His plans unfold for the believer.

Verses 23 and 24, “Love the Lord, all you faithful ones! For the Lord protects those who are loyal to him, but he harshly punishes all who are arrogant. So be strong and take courage, all you who put your hope in the Lord!”
PSALM 34
REAL: What truth or principles are found? The fear of the Lord and his hearing of the righteous’s requests are assured as well as their deliverance through troubles and from wicked people.
RELEVANT: How can this be applied?
Extol the Lord. Glorify the Lord. Taste & see that the Lord is good. Fear the Lord. Cry out to the Lord.
READY: What will your next action steps be?
Verses 12-14: “Do any of you want to live a life that is long and good? Then watch your tongue! Keep your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Work hard at living in peace with others.”
PSALM 52
REAL: What truth or principles are found? You can find fearless confidence in God when you are under attack by an evil & arrogant enemy. The Lord will act.
RELEVANT: How can this be applied? Praying to the Lord, communicating with Jesus about the circumstances and people in your life.
READY: What will your next action steps be? Verses 8-9, “But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints.”
