R³ Devotional - Day 337

R³ Devotional - Day 337 - 1 Corinthians 15

By: Anderson Baptist Church

1 Corinthians 15 is Paul’s great chapter on the resurrection of Christ and the hope of believers. He reminds us that the gospel is centered on Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, and that without the resurrection, our faith would be empty. But because Christ is risen, death has lost its sting, and we have the assurance of eternal life. This truth is not just theological—it is deeply practical, giving us courage, endurance, and joy in the face of trials.

Real Life Principle

The resurrection of Jesus guarantees our victory over sin and death, and motivates us to live faithfully and steadfastly for Him.

Relevant Life Applications
  • Hope in trials: When facing discouragement, remember that Christ’s resurrection secures your future.
  • Purpose in service: Your labor in the Lord is not in vain (v.58). Every act of faithfulness has eternal significance.
  • Courage in witness: Because death is defeated, we can boldly share the gospel without fear.
  • Holiness in life: The resurrection calls us to live as people of the new creation, reflecting Christ’s victory in daily choices.

Ready Action Steps
  1. Daily reminder: Begin each morning by declaring, “Christ is risen, therefore I have hope.”
  2. Serve intentionally: Choose one act of service this week (encouraging a teen, helping a neighbor, supporting a family) with the mindset that it has eternal value.
  3. Share boldly: Tell one person about the hope you have in Christ’s resurrection.
  4. Live victoriously: Identify one area of sin or discouragement and confront it with the truth of 1 Corinthians 15:57—“Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
