R³ Devotional - Day 254

R³ Devotional - Day 254 - Ezekiel 47

By: Anderson Baptist Church

In Ezekiel 47, we see the prophet Ezekiel is being given a tour or a vision if you will, from an angel.

He's sees a picture of a new Temple and a new land that had been promised to Israel and all foreigners.

The people of Israel were captive in Babylon during this time.

Ezekiel was given this vision to encourage the people of Israel that Israel would be restored and renewed during the millennial reign.

We see a river of water flowing and giving life to all things around it. We see a similar River in.

"Revelation 22:2. In the middle of it's Street on either side of the river was the Tree of Life bearing 12 kinds of fruit yielding its fruit every month and the leaves of the tree were in the healing of the Nations."

In both Ezekiel 47 and Revelation 22:2, these are similar Rivers not the same, but with the same concept, of life being given from God.

This vision is meant to give hope of restoration, both spiritually and physically to the people of Israel who are in captivity at this time.

God is in the restoration business if you're going through difficult times,  you're feeling lost or forsaken, remember in Hebrews 13:5 the word of God says he will never leave you or forsake you.

Although the people of Israel had gone into captivity into Babylon, God was still with them; in fact, he even made them prosperous during this time to those who were obedient to him.
If you're going through something difficult in life, trust God to walk through it with you.

There are no promises in the word of God that says we will not go through difficult times. In fact, there are promises that say we will go through difficult times.

As God will be faithful to restore the land of Israel and bringing life back to the people of Israel, God will also be faithful to restore all of us who humble ourselves before him and are obedient to him.

Life is going to be difficult and there are no guarantees that it will be better than it is now on the side of Heaven. But know this, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ here on Earth, this is as bad as it's ever going to get for you. But if you are not a follower of Jesus Christ, here on Earth, this is as good as it's ever going to get for you. For the believer in Christ, there will be full restoration, there will be full healing, and there will be full life in heaven.

Fight the good fight and be eager to hear, well done that good and faithful servant
